The site’s master plan aims to reimagine the existing site in a way that maintains a sensitivity to the surrounding urban fabric, increases housing opportunities, and reconnects the site and its residents to the surrounding neighborhood and context. With an overarching goal of increasing the site’s density to capitalize on a rare development opportunity for affordable housing within an urban condition, the design works to facilitate access, equity, and the wellbeing of its immediate and surrounding community. Part of a larger, overall development, the project proposes a renovation and addition to the existing residential towers and a new mixed use, multi-family building featuring a mix of affordable and market rate units.
