ATHENS ELEMENTARY

Year: 2019 | Athens, TN

Conceptually organized around an internal street dubbed “knowledge avenue,” Athens PreK - Elementary School features a linear core which connects two classroom wings, each having a distinct identity with all the common, shared functions existing between. South facing window openings flood the interior core to maximize daylight. Simple, sleek spaces and materials are elevated and transformed through bold use of pattern, texture, and gradating colors.

My primary role on the project was the development of the design concept as set forth by the project team, production of all interior construction drawings and related details, selection of lighting and finishes, coordination with project consultants, and renderings for client presentations.
